Emminence Commonwealth 15 speaker
I guess these are too new to have much available on all the boards I checked out so I thought I'd post here on Ampage.

Eminence has released a 15" model called the Commonwealth. It's a 225 watt speaker that's quite a bit more expensive than other models in the line. The main differences seem to involve a 4" voice coil and a whopping 109 ox magnet!

It's offered as a guitar speaker, not for bass. I only found one brief user review claiming it sounded like one of the old JBL's. Response is 50hz-4khz with a sensitiviy of 100.8 db.

One of my customers wants to mate it with a dumble-ized Pro Reverb I'm modding for him. He plays more vintage blues in that if he covers an old ZZ Top tune he thinks he's hit the limit in playing "modern" blues! :)

Any body got any experience/knowledge to pass on about this model?

Please don't bother suggesting any of Ted Weber's excellent products as importing into Canada is a pain in the ass whereas getting an Eminence is both quick and easy. I don't have any other comparable choices here.

I can get Celestions but they have no 15" and besides, they're all Chinese nowadays. I just can't believe that a country that will shoot you for listening to rock and roll can make a great speaker! :(

Tnx in adv
