Don't know what was on that record, but he started his career on an old 335 dot neck and switched to a valley arts strat at some point. Gonna guess he went thru a dumble.

'68 Gibson 335 through a Fender Tweed Deluxe. That's what he used for most of his "overdriven" session work in the 70s and in Donal Fagen's "The Nightfly." Larry favored a Rivera-modified Fender Princeton for most of the "clean" stuff on sessions.  
Exception was with The Crusaders, since after the second album with them he switched to a Mesa Boogie amp -- which you can defintely "hear" unmistakably in songs like "Spiral," "And Then There was the Blues," etc. He also used the Boogie on his solo records "Larry Carlton" and "Strikes Twice."
