Stephen Giles Adding second speaker to Carvin X60 amp
I'm playing bass in a 60s band tonight, and my amp - a Carvin X60 has one 12" 8 ohm 100 watt speaker. It has the facility to plug in a second speaker in parallel, so if I use a second 8 ohm speaker presumably I need to change the impedance switch to 4 ohms. Probably obvious but thought I'd check first. It will not be mic'd up so I'll need to push some air and fear for the single speaker in the amp.

Hi Stephen

If you're using a 2nd 8 ohms speaker then you have to put the imp.-selector on 4 ohms.

Have fun tonight!

Thanks Chris, it's the first gig other than barn dances I'm doing since 1969!!! wish I was playing lead, but should be fun.

Hi Chris
The bass sound was huge with the second speaker. I could not believe the volume with the amp just on 2!
