What an odd bit of Fenderdom!

As it was designed as a budget unit, it's minus :

A Fuse (How did they do that?)

A top Back Panel (Now they're really cutting corners, literally)

An output jack (most Fender output transformer secondaries reenter the chassis and connect to the speaker(s) via a chassis mounted jack. I guess a few of the very early 50's Fenders connected the output tranny secondary wires directly to its speaker, as the MMB is wired.

Is it the only Fender amp to feature an interstage transformer?

Also, the cab, with it's 1x 12" spkr is perfect for a supercharged Champ/VC chassis; it's a direct drop in.

How did they get away with that disappearing fuse act?

SpeedRacer	300PS bass amp had an interstage tranny.. those may be the only 2 though.. how did they lose the fuse? that's a good one! I have no idea..

loudthud	Interesting thing about the fuse. Does it have a UL, CSA or City of Los Angeles marking ? The schematic shows a thermal fuse marked "CSA Thermal Protector 010872".

Bob M.	It has the yellow UL (Underwriters Laboratory) sticker. There must be something about power consumption and this amp doesn't consume enough to mandate a fuse in order to be marketed in Grand Ole US of A. Imagine that, the most dangerous being put in the hands of the least knowledgeable!! Is this a great country we live in or what! Bob M.

Bob M.	These can be pretty good amps with a few tweaks but as a platform for whatever you can think of, hey, what's not to like about 2x 6V6s and a 12" speaker. I would buy as many of these as I can get my hands on. They are giving these things away on Ebay. As a bass amp, their value is the null set. Bob M.

Enzo	The thermal fuses are INSIDE the power transformers. Many xfmrs have them. It blows and you replace the tranny , unless you want to dig it out and wedge a new one in there. But it is protected.
