TAD 6L6 tubes

Anyone familiar with these? I'd like to know the difference between the GC and the WGC.

Hi Mark  
The GC does sound cleaner and a bit brighter ( but not harsh ) and the WGC is more "old style", fat mids sounding. Excellent testing and very low failure-rate too.

I use the small bottle TAD 6L6 black plates in my tweed Super, Bandmaster and Pro kits.  
When biased right, I think they sound similar to those outrageously overpriced NOS 5881WGB small bottle Tung-Sol tubes.  
I've only had one TAD 6L6 tube do anything weird in almost 42 matched pairs now. I didn't use it in the amp and it still checks good but excessive idle current.  
I can't say that of the JJs, EHs or Svetlanas.

Hi Bruce  
At some point I did have a failurerate of > 3% with the other brands you did mention. To my customers and my own ears most TADs do sound less harsh and less muddy.
