tim	5751 sub i use rca 12ax7 a's in my mission tweed super . thinking about subbing bright channel with a rca 5751 command. anyone have good results using this lower gain tube? thanks

Thorny	That RCA blackplate 5751 is an AWESOME tube! I really don't think you will notice any gain difference, but it will sound fantastic!

tim	i just got a nos rca 5751 command for $46 , pretty high i know . someone else bid 45 . gonna give it a try.

Troy	5751s are sweet. I just wish I would have bought more when the time was right. I bought a few sleeves of NOS GE 5 Stars from a guy on ebay a few years back - 8 bucks a tube. now you can't even get them close for that. Oh well. Enjoy'em. I use them in just about everything now days.

Troy	I forgot to add that the 12av7s are generally pretty sweet too. You can get a lot of microphonic ones, but you can usually get them cheap.. I think they also go by 5965. Very nice tube for the $$
