Scoops More 5E3 Amp porn
Hello Folks

I've been lurking here for a very long time.

I think that this is a great site, with ALOT of great people.

So why am I writing this?
Well I finally got around to creating a web site. One of the pages is dedicated to the amplifiers that I have built over the years. Without these forums, I doubt that I would have been able to mod them to where I really like the amps. So thanks eveybody!!!

Oh yeah, take a look

If inclined to do so, please provide feedback on the website as it is set up. I mostly concerned about the size of the hyper-linked pictures.

Also, at some time in the future, I'll be posting alot of additional info. Would specs on the amps be helpfull? How about some mp3's. Any thing else would be beneficial. You can respond to the e-mail addy on my home page.

Once again, Thanks to all.

Your site looks great but the text lines scroll off my screen- even full screen at 1280x960. I think that most visitors will be looking at your site from a smaller window and very possibly at a lower resolution.

It looks like you used Microsoft Publisher to create your web site... I'm not familiar with the code it generates so I can't offer any tips. You might want to check to see if there is an option to allow HTML resizing of your text (when given the opportunity HTML will resize and reflow the text to fit the window).

FWIW I have seen very expensive commercial sites with the exact same problem. Maybe its just me but I hate to have to diddle with a horizontal scroll bar when looking at a web page...

Steve,

The wife (who does the web site for where she works) told me not to do what I was doing. I tested it on a couple differnt machines, and it worked, but she still warned me that I would have problems with some end users.

Its easy enough to fix.

Thanks for the feedback

When you get tunes put up, please notate which amps/guitars you used. I love that kind of stuff.

Re: More 5E3 Amp porn
Wow, Those guitars are outta site. Not my first choices in woods, but thats why we roll our own, right. Anyway, I build and maintain most of my gear and I thought my custom Warmoth strat was pretty cool until now. Not many guys who arent luthiers build thier own to that extent. They look great.

This is the wrong forum for this discussion. But you can mail me if your at all interested. I have (somewhere) a loose plan for a Strat/Les Paul hybrid that actually looks really cool. I know I'll never get around to actually building it since I have more financial obligations than tools ;) so...

Love the site.

Chuck
