Sorry for the second question on TAD 6V6GTB-STR. But .. I called to order some 12AX7M's and when on the phone the tube person suggested the TAD 6V6GTB-STR may cause my amp to burn up or something. Now, that company does not sell the tube so I am not sure if this is hype or if there is a real issue with the tube (pair). I am going to be running them in a 5E3 clone, and as far as I know if follows the traditionl circut pretty closely. It has a set of GE 6V6's and a Brinmar 5y3 in it along with a couple older US preamp tubes if that helps. Dale |

Hi Dale ??? Seems kinda like "All the stuff I don't sell will harm your amp, buy my stuff". I've used the TADs in lots of amps, fixed and cathode biased with plate-voltages till around 450 Volts without any problems. Biasing is a must of course Hope this helps, Chris |

| Dale | I thought the Tweeds were plug and play. No? |

Hi Dale, Sorry for the confusion; cathode-biased amps are plug & play most of the time but I always check the bias just to be sure. Hope this helps/keep on building! Chris |
