| bnwitt | Bruce is awesome! I have been posting and lurking on this forum (as well as several others) for quite some time now(years)and I just wanted to say that of all the forums for tube amps, this one is the best for actually hearing from the Guy himself. Bruce, my hat is off to you as you are a constant presence and source of information to everyone in this forum. I know that takes a lot of time and real dedication. Congratulations on an excellent forum. |

He even helps you if your didn't buy his kit!!! I didn't buy his kit cause I figured I could save $$$ doing it myself. Well, after figuring the shipping charges, and time spent placing and waiting for new orders for the things I forgot to order, I can't say I really saved much. I can say without a doubt that were I to do it all over again, I wouldn't hesitate to buy the Mission Tweedy kit. Thanks Bruce, for all of the help. |

Well, I'm a newby to the wonders of Bruce, but have built other people's kits. So far, I think it's a fantastic, well organized kit, so far. The engineering is excellent. In particular, the fab shop did a great job on the chassis drilling and placement, because everything fits. (Believe me, having a good fab shop/in house machine shop where guys actually know how to read a blueprint and drill/weld where they're supposed to, really matters.) Having recently received my first 5E3 kit from him, I love the layouts and organized, logical packaging. It's not cryptic and it's very much more user friendly than some of the other kits/kit instructions that I've seen. I'm only a few hours into it and I'm much farther along than I would've been on other kits. I'd say it's because of Bruce's conscientiousness, thoroughness and consideration of "thy neighbor" in this case, the lowly tube boy poor musician customer. So brudder, keep up the good work so far. Can't wait to get another block of time and finish it out and plug it in. But, all things considered, the kit is a phenonemonal value at and seems to be of first rate quality, all things considered (sounds like a National Public Radio line, hmmmm). I'll give some mo' feedback when I finish it out and give its first listens. Jay |
