| .:Dos:. | Board dimension Hi everybody, i'm going to order a sheet of g-10 and use it for the board of this amp, but i have no idea about the dimension of it, is a sheet of 12X12 enough to contain all the parts?? Thanks Alex |

with out a doubt the answer is yes. but another option is to just get a strip of g10. mcmaster-carr sells g10 in 3" wide strips (same width as the 5E3 board). that will save you some cutting. now if you plan on making a few amps, then go ahead and get a sheet. but if this might be the only one, just get a strip. even if you got a 24" strip, that would give you at least 2 amps. the 5E3 board is only about 8 & 3/4" long. |

Alex, I have the tracing of a Weber board that measures 3" x 8.75" Depending on how you cut the G-10, you should have enough for at least 3 boards using a 12" x 12" sheet. Steve http://wwww.diycustomamps.com |

you mean eyelets? you can get them from mouser. i think the keystone number is 45. if that's the only thing you have to get from there it might not be worth it. you can either order them from hoffman amps for something like 5 cents an eyelet or i could sell you some. i recently placed an order to mouser and got some. all of that is the same if you actually want turrets. the keystone number is 1540-4. and and those numbers are assuming you're using an 1/8" thick board. if you're using a 1/16" board then you could actually get some eyelets are michael's craft store. |

I know you already have a piece of G10 but when you're done with this, I'd really like to know what the final cost was including shipping from the different vendors. Bruce |

I have to go with Bruce, the Weber board is a bargain. However, I've also been thinking about the prospect of rolling my own in order to accomodate the mods that I've got rolling around my brain. |
