| Kursad | accidental harmonics Your playing reminded me a problem that I'm sometimes having while playing with distortion. Accidental harmonics sound cool but sometimes I get them at moments that I do not want them at all. How do you avoid this? Kursad |

This sort of thing is usually caused by accidentally touching the string with some part of your picking hand as you pick it. If you hold the plectrum with just a tiny end sticking out between your finger and thumb, you are likely to hit the string with your thumb too. For several years now I've been playing the electric guitar classical style with three fingers and thumb. I only use picks when my fingernails wear out or break off. It's a lot harder to get artificial harmonics now |

| OTP | Yes holding the pick to close to your thumb and finger will cause that to happen often.I pretty much can control it at will now.I worked on it for a long time.My problem is now trying to use it less. But hey it's fun!!! |

Yes I do that while playing solos because doing otherwise it feels like playing with a long stick... Kursad | |
