If anyone has a last minute addition send me an email. There is an ftp site for this project if anyone wants to upload WAV files to replace the MP3 files that you submitted previously.

Unidentified MP3 files
In going through the MP3 files I downloaded in 2003 (and earlier) I ran across a few that are unidentified. If one of these tunes is yours and you want it included in the compilation send me an email:

P.S. So how do you add ID tags to an MP3 file? Is there some utility program that does this? BTW I just noticed that Cool Edit Pro 2.0 (now Adobe Audition) supports the MP3 Pro output format but I haven't tried it yet. I believe that it uses a variable bitrate depending on the content of the WAV file...

Steve,

I use Winamp as a player in my studio computer, and you can edit the ID tags with it. Download it for free at winamp.com.

You can edit tags in media player too, and if you have XP you just right click the file and go to properties where you can add all kinds of things.

Re: Unidentified MP3 files
Hi Steve,

Hope you don't suffer any after effects from your close encounter..........
Obviously The Marauder is my song, written and recorded in my "home studio". It's dedicated to Lowell George... I uploaded it to the Boz Group when Jen invited us to do so last year.
Don't know what comps you're referring to.... this came up when I Googled my name to see if my band's site finally is coming up on a Google search.

Peace,
Martin

P.S. I didn't realize that the Google crawlers made it into the AMPAGE forums! ;)
