 Reverb explosion like intermittent noise
Hi its me again, I am having some kind of small noises coming out of my amp whenever Im not playing. It dont know exactly how to describe it however it sound like very light intermittent explosions as a background.  
 
Can somebody determine what is the problem, I changed the reverb tank and the cables already, the problem is still there. Could the speaker magnet cause the problem?

Jorge, I've been thinking about your problem and without hearing the noise myself I can only make some guesses.  
 
Since the amp is apparently working and nothing's burning up then small noises often come from a bad tube or very often a poor solder joint. The bad joint can arc or "sputter" inside, causing the noise. Picture in your mind a bubble of solder with two wires inside that are barely touching, zapping off a spark once in a while.  
 
You can also have one of the dropping resistors in the filter cap string breaking down inside.  
 
I'd go to R G Keen's FAQ on tube amp debugging for some tips.  
 
Try swapping tubes first. Reheating every solder joint is a lot of work. It would be better to try to isolate which stage is generating the noise.  
 
A 'scope would save you days of time!

Dear Bill:  
 
Yesterday while turning the amp on, I notice some weird sound coming out of the amp more or like a shhhhh... sound. However after the amp finally warmed up it dissapear. Is this due to faulty tube or do you believe its something else.  
 
On what concerns to the explosion like intermittent sounds I explained you previously. I discovered it has to do with the reverb. I dont know but when I have the reverb control turned to 0 the amp does not reproduce this explosion like sound. The reverb tank and the rca cables are brand new. What could possibly be the problem?
