I was just perusing the bargain bin at weber. Something bad must have happened in plating or screening. They're showing 95 5e7 chassis for $25ea. I've pinged them to find out what the pieces are like. I don't even want one, but I can't imagine not buying at least one for that price.

Wow. I didn't even know there WAS a bargain center. I see they've got some 5C5 chassis for the same price. Let us know when you get a response from Weber. You're right, at that price, how can you NOT buy one?

I saw that a couple weeks ago.  
Couldn't resist, so I bought 2 5C5's.  
 
Overall, the chrome plating and the silkscreen on the face of the chassis is ok. The chrome plating on the rest of the chassis is not the best, but who cares.  
 
Im gonna make an Ultra-High-Power Deluxe (4 X 6L6)  
out of one of them.

Q: I'd like to know a bit about the 5e7 and 6Sx chassis in the bargain bin.  
 
 
A: Nothing wrong with the 6Sx's, we just don't sell them and need the room.  
 
A: The 5E7s are a little scratched or dented, or there is a little bit of ring around the holes. That is usually covered by washers and control nuts.
