this forum got mangled on 5/8 at 3:57 AM central time, as i was trying to enter this message:   interesting stuff. i love Cf. in the fuzz face it doesn't exist, nor does the constant-current source with the ac-bypass cap C1, but it's easy to see how the [Q1]grounded-emitter approximation that has become so popular over the last 40 years has as it's mother that approach. lovely. thanks for sharing. (for those who wonder, the top blue line is +V). i'm still studying it. eliminate the need for constant-current, add one small input cap and a variable AC bypass cap to Q2, and you have a fuzz face! brilliant!
