Get ready to scream...or cry...
A little off topic here, but still guitar related.
Here's a little diddy that I recently put up on Ebay. No, I'm not trying to sell it here. I just though you might get a good laugh...or a good crying...out of seeing this poor thing.

This amp sat in Jason's shop for awhile, so he knows what's been done to it.
It's pretty depressing. I've been getting lots of hate mail to be forwsarded to the "mad amp hacker"

Go ahead. Have a laugh.

Jesus H Christ, what a butcher job. That extra tranny looks like a radio shack power tranny. Probably used to power some added solid state circuitry.
Certainly ressurectable though. Mechanically, not cosmetically. Drill-happy bastard...

SOmeone said they were all Marshall transformers of one sort or another. I'm assuming at least one of them is original.

re: hacked Marshal Super Lead

Heh.

It's a cookie-cutter Marshall head, not a fetish for ritual devotions, yet people get bent out of shape when someone decides to customize it.

Go figure.

Wipe the dust off & add some knobs, then who'd care?

Just to make sure no one thinks I did that, I didnt.
It was in my shop to see if I could put it back to stock. If it had been a Fender I could have done it but not a Marshall.
It was boogered up real good.
I actually got it to work and it made one sound, super distorted.

Yes, as Jason said, he DID NOT do this to that amp. Jason has much more class and knowledge than to butcher something liek this.
As he also says, it's boogered up pretty good.

I can't believe it's gone up as high as it did, not that I'm complainin', mind you. I got it in trade for a set of strat pickups about 4 years ago, so I'm more than happy to recover the list cost of the set, especially since it'll be put back into pickup parts!
