Andy and Wolfe ,
Andy , how many of these ready-made bobbins or "skeletons" as Wolfe called them do I have to order , quite a few I guess ?
I'm with you Wolfe , making bobbins for Strats isn't exactly the funniest part in making pickups , so ready-made "skeletons" sounds just fine.

Yah. When the Asian economy teetered in the late 90's, a lot of their domestic money fled the country along with foreign investment. After the collapse, keeping money in the country was simple desperation from trying to keep their economy afloat.

They're getting back on their feet, so things may improve in a few years.

Andy

All,

Don't forget I'm based in the UK.

I'm quiet prepared to supply small(ish) volumes of things like Strat bobbins, but PLEASE bear in mind that I can only supply what I don't need or those that have been ordered well in advance. In other words you might have to be very patient.

The prices I quoted are ex.works, on top of the 3.30 you have to add shipping to me, import duty and tax and then shipping to you (plus duty and tax if appropriate).

One of the pains of being a worldwide forum is that we sometimes forget that we may not be talking to someone in our own country.

Thus I think Strats would cost in the region of USD 3.75 with me, so add your own carriage and duty.

As for problems with Korea yep, I had a few quality control issues in the past, but recently quality hasn't been a problem (I think I cracked it by taking the time and visiting them a couple of years ago to see for myself what was happening and discussing it face to face).
