Where'd I get it? SK I've got a nifty (albeit REALLY EXPENSIVE) program called 3D Studio Max. The bobbin was done up by the Cad man at USA Custom Guitars. It still need a little tweaking, such as edge rounding, and the circle imprint around the square hole, but it's a damn good model. WOlfe |

Check Your Mail 3D Studio Max is a wonderful tool. Both files are sent. |

Re: What if we succeed? Guys the cost of a die is directly proportional to the amount of life you want from that die... A cheap die will wear out fast and will only give you thousands of units where the really expensive die will give you millions of units... So you will need to work out how many you wish to produce over what time period. Tone |

Tony You're perfectly right. However, my thethod of thinking, is that as long as the "consumable" stamp/dies don't outweight the cost of buy them as we do now, if would be a fine place to begin with. Then, as it starts to grow, shell out for a million-piece stamp/die set. I think the low-end stamp/dies that I'm looking at will run around 5000 HB plates. After figuring in the cost-per-plate, and the actual cost of the stamp to get the total cost-per-plate, it might be worth it to start "cheap" and build up to "expensive" Wolfe |
