Gauges for winding
Howdy Folks,
Is there a preferred value in the gauge that you guys use to wind pickups and if stated is this AWG or SWG.I've got some 41 B/S,which I would suppose was SWG and am looking at some vintage wire for sale as SWG,enamelled, and was wondering whatto buy for future use as I know I'll get to it one day.Thankyou chaps.

42 for Strat, tele bridge, PAF type buckers and P-90's. 43 for tele neck pickups. 43/44 for some "bobbinless" designs and "modern high output". 38-41 for special applications.
