| swt | to wax or not to wax (73s tele pickups) Hi. I have a pair of ´73 tele pickups, that are a bit microfonics. That is, they sound incredible with clean sounds/medium gains, but start to squeal when i have something like an overdrive, or crank the amp. I know there are counter opinions about this. I just want your comments. I was thinking of potting them with the traditional 80% wax/20%bees wax, but don't know if they're going to lose their "magic"....Any opinions will be fine. Thanks a lot. |

I'd pot them if they are problematic when used the way you want to use them... |
