Are you one of these people that believe that it is OK to go to war when American interests are not at stake?

If it's not about oil then what other compelling American Interest is at stake?

This egotistical fruitcake split the Democratic vote effectively enough to get the Republicans in.

Yeah - it had nothing to do with the fact that Al Gore is just plain creepy.

I just wonder where he got the funding (to run for presidency) from...;)

[Dr. Evil voice] I want .... one jillion dollars!

Seriously - everytime someone hints at a Republican "take-over-the-world conspiracy", it just seems silly. Why would we take over the world? Why do we (as Americans) need more power. To what end?

A good friend of mine, who subscribes to every Texas-Oil-conspiracy, related what he believed to be truth to me: The only reason that Texas won during the NCAA playoffs is because GB43 is president. And we all know who is funding him, right? That's right - big oil. And Big Oil said Texas was gonna win, by God, 'cause they all look after each other.

It is truly scary that folks believe in this crap.

The Republican's spelled out their "take over the world policy" in the National Security Strategy document released by the white house. Also, the Project for a New American Century,a think tank that has most of the current administration as members and a website you can visit, also spells out the empirical aspirations of the republican administration. It's all there in plain view,if you care to look.

I see ...
So to further drag out the Dr. Evil motif -

The National Security Policy would be the Angry Sharks with "lasers" attatched to thier heads

-and-

The Project for a New American Century would correlate to the overly-complicated. easily-escapable dipping mechanism.

Thanks for the clarification!

Now, If I were an Oil-Soaked politician, leader of the most powerful nation on the face of this planet-ever, with world-domination lust in my heart, I would just levy the huge economic and military (or is that military-industrial?) might at my disposal. Screw all of the subterfuge, away with the secret thinktanks that only a select few *really* know the purpose of. I'd just come out and say it: " World, I'm here to kick you ass and take all of your Money, Oil, and Women." Some might put up a fight, a valiant show against the tyranny that is American Republicans, but all will be crushed.
[sarcasm]
Yes, babies would be crushed, too. If there's anything those Fat-Cat bastards hate more than babies, I dunno what it is. Never mind that they wanna ban abortions, they just do that to piss off NOW.

Then, I'd hire all of my brothers as state governors - That way I could virtually guarantee every election from now on. There's never be another president that did'nt have my last name!
[/sarcasm]

Anyway, I doubt the sarcasm changes any liberal's views. I was just hoping to illustrate how silly the whole conspiracy thing sounds.

It'd make a good X-File, though.

Er...

Texas *lost* to Syracuse in the semi-finals.

You can tell I don't know my college B-Ball, eh?
My buddy's comment came after a game that he felt they should not have won ... I dunno which one.

FB,
It's also quite obvious you didn't bother to read the NSS document or go to the PNAC website. This is not some hidden conspiracy. It's in plain site. The Washington Post, one of the most conservative papers in the US,has done articules on this and has come to the same conclusion. You come across as someone who's mind is made up and don't confuse me with the facts. All you did was wise crack in response, but I see no real rebutal of what I have put forth.
