There is some speculation that the Iraqi command and control networks were completely hacked into and taken over by the U.S. (Air Force supposedly has some 2000? strong group of hackers) and thus the Iraqis were receiving no info or false info making the network useless (and therefore the completely fantastic, seemingly totally delusional announcements by the Iraqis--"the airport is completely within our control"--when it wasn't, etc.).
