Stefaan Van Slycken	depends on what you want to do with it. I have a Samick (don't have the type handy) which was about $300 new (i got it for $75 after repairing somethe previous owner's amp). It sounds more than decent enough, but it has no pickup or anything... just the basic acoustic guitar. SVS.

Ross M.	I have an Alvarez that I bought for $200 that plays and sounds great. Another "bare bones" acoustic, no electronics. First 12 string I've ever had though.

anonymous	Also Takamine builds a great 12 string.I've an older one (70's) and neck is still straight and easy to play.That,to me,is where 12 strings often fail.
