RCA BA 6A Compressor schematic
Forgot to put subject.Im looking for a schematic for RCA BA 6A compressor, found one on the net but is simplified has no component values does anyone no where or how i can get one or any info on it would be good.And has anyone had a go at making a fairchild 660 looks a bit of a beast that one

I've seen that RCA schem too. That's one that I'd be interested in as well. As far as the Fairchild is concerned, the last time I priced 6386 tubes they were about $80-$90 each (when available) and there are something like 12 of 'em. That's a little too rich for my blood once you add tranny's and such.

The schematics out there chaps cant remember where thought but theres no component values i searched on yahoo and found it, ive read that its a lovely bit of kit would love to play with one.Ill keep looking youl be the 1st to no if i get hold of it.As for the fairchild i didn't no the tubes where that expensive, im in the UK il see if anyone is giving them away over here. The trannies are availible from Sowter over here.

Those Farichild units are said to go for some $20kUSD these days.  
 
If knowledgeable pros are dropping that kind of coind on vintage hardware, they must be something amazing.  
 
 
... wonder what a first-rate clone might fetch.

Exactly Don the tubes & trannies are quite a lot of doe but nowhere near the 20k price tags.I was thinkin of makeing a mono version and using an existing power supply till its up & runnin.Only thing is Brian Sowter of Sowter transformers was telling me he knows someone who biult one from the net schematic and it doesn't work, because the schematic is wrong?Be a shame to spend all that cash if yr not sure if its gonna work.
