Peter source for multi-section electrolytics
My old Supro needs a new cap, 20+20+10 @ 450V, I know I could use separate caps, but is there a source for these old multi-section ones, I'd prefer to keep it sort of original-looking...

thanks,

There are replacements out there, but none in the physical size you want. Using individual caps to replace the can is the best bet. Just leave the old can in place for looks.
Antique Electronics *may* have one NOS close to what you want, but then you'll have to take a shot a reforming it...

Thanks Marc. I see your point, at about $30 for the multisection caps, I'll use 3 individual ones!!

Yep, they be right pricey and not skinny like the originals!
You can but the sprauges and come out way ahead or if you want to save a few bucks buy some nichicons from mouser.

I may be a little late to the thread here, but www.vibroworld.com has new manufacture can type radial lead or twist prong multicaps in alot of different sizes and values for what seems to be a pretty good price. (A 20/10/10 at 450V is $23.50). They will also make custom values. I haven't dealt with them yet myself but I plan on buying some in a month or two since I've got a few Gretsch amps to recap.

Interesting web site... sure enough, they have
20 + 10 + 10/450, and they even say it fits Supro amps, but it must be for bigger Supro amps than mine, since it's 1.5" diameter and mine is only 1".

thanks,

Whoops, posted that a little too quickly, now I see they DO have 1" diameter also!
