tube diode=1N4148 is there an equivalent, indirectly heated tube diode? i have an idea. jeremy |

Check out a 6AL5. ---Wild Bill |

| Sleebo_The_Beebo | I'd go with the 6al5 over the 6h6 since the 6al5 is a miniature while the 6h6 is octal. |

6AL5 is a cute little dual diode miniature. My personal favorite though is the 6H6. It is an octal metal tube, but it is only an inch tall at most. It looks more like a jumper plug, but it is a tube. Also dual diode. |

have seen the 6H6, probably have some, somewhere. cute little tube. reason im looking for a tube equivalent to a 1N4148/1N914 is i would like to try a tube diode clipping circuit. not sure if it has been done or if it would work, but it seems interesting. lot of work for the filaments, but hey, i like to tinker. germ |

There's also a cute little glass 6H6GT. |

IIRC, O'Connor discusses this in one of the TUTs, that is creating a diode bounding circuit and using tube diodes to do it. |
