I know they're based on the Trace Elliot Velocettes, but curious as to the Gibson's tone, versatility and build quality. Interested in their 30w EL84-based, newer US-built (black cover) amps. I did hear the other guitarplayer in Buddy Guy's band play one with a Gibson Les Paul and the tone wan't worth the money imho ( I do mean the amp , not the gig  ) .
