Did those come with the Fender blue frame alnicos? I think those are pretty decent sounding. I've got a Mojo MP10R (Eminence-made like the Fender blue frame) and a Fender gold label ceramic in a Bandmaster Reverb combo and it sounds terrific. |

Hi Lee Thanks ,the amp does have the stock ceramic speakers and the owner doesn't like them , he's looking for some ( alnico ) options . I can get Celestions and Jensens over here . P10R or P10Q ...... ? tia ! Chris |

Actually the stock speakers that came in the 63 brown vibroverb reissues were pretty cheaply constructed Oxford 10K5 copies. (Most everyone I knew with one of these amps blew their stock speakers within the first year or two). The "real" vibroverbs came with the same model speakers, but "real" original pre-65 Oxfords were actually pretty good speakers. (Those that came afterwards were the crappy ones everyone talks about). If you want the original brown era tone, stick with ceramic C10Q speakers. If you want it more tweedy sounding (not like the original) then opt for P10Q's |
