Hey Guys-
For a lot less than the 165.00 West set you can get the PT & OT set for the Marshall 18 watt repros that Graydon Stuckey sells...a LOT less, and I've already gone through 10 OT's alone in builds for various 15-18 watt amps and can attest at how great they sound ! Plus the OT has 4,8,16 ohm taps whereas I don'tthink the 'Matchless' does. The 18W OT's are a 30-watt frame size, too, the size of the Pro Reverb tranny. My Postman uses one, too:

Chris ( CMW amps )	Hi Alexander , thanks for the suggestion ! The Westlabs OT does have 4 , 8 and 16 ohms taps if you do use it as a 8k primary one . The Matchless 15 watt amps do use 4k primary so they only have 8 and 16 ohms output-taps . Have a nice and rockin' weekend ! Chris

jason	Hey chris, when I hooked up mine (west labs) I connected all three taps to an impedance selector switch. Are you saying that in order to run it like a true matchless I need to connect my 8 ohm cabinet to the 16 ohm tap ( for 4k Z)? thanks, jason

Chris ( CMW amps )	confused Hi Jason , Just did check some (factory) Matchless schematics and they did use a 8k primary . Must be a slip of the mind but I thought I did see some postings over here regarding a 4k primary impedance on the 15 Watters . I did wire the OT with a switch and some jacks to make all ratios possible and my favorite was the 8k primary . Sorry for the confusion ! Chris

Dirty	For your information! Matchless OT primary impedances is 4K for the 15, 30, 35 and 40 Watt amplifiers. That includes the Spitfire, Lightning, Tornado, Hurricane, C30, J.Jorgensen, Clubman, Chieftain and more. Dirty http://www.swedenblue.com/dirty/dirty_amps.html
