hey Gus, what mods have you done on the '1006s?
are they posted on the net/could you email them?

i've got 2 '1006s and 2 '2001. one of the '2001 is trashed after having a beer spilled on it and i'm thinking of doing the Royer mod on the other '2001.

anyone know where to get replacement capsules?

What is trashed on the 2001? You can clean the capsule I have also taken them apart. To clean them you need deionized water and a good optic brush. There are writups on the web on cleaning. I Have a number of 2001s v67s modded both Tube and transistor circuits. The royer mod of the 2001 is a good one, both of my 2001s are modded with a royer like circuit.

On the 1006s, I modded a few for myself and friends. Now I am being asked to mod 1006 etc by other people. I might not want to post the mods until I decide what I want to do. In the past I would have given away the mods.

FWIW there is alot of info on the web on microphones, Schematics reviews etc.
