WHAT CAPS FOR MOST AUTHENTIC TS808 CLONE?
I know this is probably old news for most people here, but anyway... I sold my TS9 and want to build one, so...

(1) What type of caps give the most authentic TS808 tone?

(2) What transistors have you all used for the input/output buffers?

Cheers... Ian :)

One of the biggies is that the ts-808 used tantalum caps somewhere in the circuit, I think it was a .22uf cap in the tone control, that is, from what I read, the big difference between a ts-9 modded to ts-808s, and the real ts-808s. I think the cheap quality of the tantalum caps somehow smooths out the tone.
