NEED Lafayette Fuzz SCEMATIC Badly
I really need a Lafayette Fuzz pedal schematic so that I can put my Fuzz pedal back to gether. Someone rewired it wrong and replaced with wrong value pots! Thanks for any help!

Here's your chance to do something useful while you learn. Draw the schematic for what you have and I'm sure we'll be able to help you identifying both the connections and values for the pots.

Chances are it won't be that difficult (2 transistors or so, I imagine?). The trickiest part will be integrating knowledge of the *exact* pinout of the transistors. By the way, what are the transistors in there?

The easiest what you can do is: scan the PCB (copper side ) and 'draw' the parts, as you see them on the other side. Post it somewhere on the Net. Somebody will eventually make a schem out of it, and some of the experienced builders will figure out the correct values for your pots. :-)

(If you dont know how to 'read' resistor or capacitor values, there are plenty websites appearing in Google, when you do a search on the subject. e.g. "read resistor capacitor values")

OK. Well, it has 3 germanium transistors in it that look like they came out of an erly 60s pocket radio. I have the whole thing apart now. How do I show the circuit board over the Ampage? There are porbably no more than 10 parts total on the board, so tracing it won't take too long hopefully ;-) Thanks!!

Either get a free webhosting site, or email me your pics or scans or drawings, and I'll post them on my site for you. (don't for get to "_removethispart" from my email address above)

Derrick,

Try looking at the schematic called "olsonns.gif" here:
http://www.montagar.com/~patj/gindex.htm

Lafayette and Olsons were both importing the same cheap Japanese electronic junk to sell in their catalogs in the mid '60's to the '70's. Perhaps the same fuzz?
