GIG-A WAH (full parametric wha) I've just bought a Dunlop Q535 Wha. I'm very happy about how it works, the q control is very smart and usefull but I was wondering how exactly this pedal works... We have Fz control, ( pedal and variable filter switch selector ) and we have Q control... but what about Cut-Boost of the filter ? I'm not shure about this but the Q535 seems to have a fixed eq boost gain. Do you think that it's possible to mod it with a Cut-Boost control ( maybe with an external expression pedal) like if it was a Eq section of a professional mixing desk ? I'm a sound technician more than a guitarist and I love playing with the MID Eq section of a Midas on the El. Guitar mic cannel during live show.I prefer super boost on mid hi with opened Q but I like also the effect made with boosted ultra closed Q (like a "positive" notch filter ) and also with Mediom Q Cut settings (that produce strange FZ cancellations and mooving the FZ constantly produces-Phaser Like effcts I think that my guitarist will be very happy with a super wha with A Cut\Boost facilities...and me too!!!! Another thing I was always wondering.... Is it possible to control the FZ automatically (with an LFO or something like, I don't know), producing a phase-wha ? Final question.... I've loocked inside the Dunlop Q535 and it is made with SMT tech so I think that maybe will be a better think to do mods on standard a CRY Baby or a Jimi Wha but they don't have the Q controll... Does modding with a Q control the Cry Baby is an easy thingh to do? thanks for kind attentions and please excuse my paranoid-booring ideas... |
