| DJR | 5E3 project I'm in the process of building a 5E3 Deluxe type circuit using an old Conn organ chassis and transformers. As I want to keep the project as simple as possible, I would like to have only one channel with one input. My question is this: If I use the first preamp tube in parallel (just because the other half is there and unused) would I simply not connect the one 100k plate resistor from the B+ node to pin 6, jumper pins 1 and 6, and leave the other 100k plate resistor connected to pin 1 as in the normal 5E3 circuit?
