Bassman Cabinet questions In previous posts those who've followed them have seen that I have a 1965 Super reverb which I got cheaply as it is loaded with 2X12 JBL K120's, and a 1964 6G6-B Cream Bassman head/cabinet. Now...the cabinet came to me loaded with a 12" no-namer, and a pioneer 15" in a non-original baffle. I also got the bassman at a bargain basement price owing to the speakers and its painted black tolex. I'd always planned to treat the bassman to a new set of speakers. The logical option for me was to put 4X10" speakers back into the Super and put the K120's into the bassman. OK...so I suppose my questions are as follows. With the baffle on the bassmans, were they constructed from 1/2" ply, with a 1/4" surround like I've been told the Super Reverb (Thanks Winnie What kind of screws did fender use in the back of the cabinets?? Mine has 4 slot head screws. Did these cabinets have a little wall separating the speakers?? Any help greatly appreciated. As I'm a macintosh technician, I'd be happy to trade knowledge if anyone has an errant iMac |
