Well Gef,
At least we can get rid of our idiots eventually when people wise up. BTW, how's the royal family these days?

Getting a bit inbred now - but shit like that happens when there are so few Princesses left.

Yeah, it looks silly, and any story that focuses on Florida is bound to have some comic relief. Just consider this - can anyone be sure that the vote-tallying system in their country is so precise and accurate, that there wouldn't be this much controversy if one candidate led the other by only a few hundred votes?

I agree that both of the candidates were terrible offerings, as do many folk here. I voted third party.

I think really that The USA should apply for membership of the British Empire, then the 99.5% of USA inhabitants who have forgotten there is a world beyond its shores can pay homage to her gracious majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. Then you would have a strat playing Prime Minister!!!!!!!

No thanks. We fought ourselves a little war to divest ourselves from that privilege, thankfully avoiding the UK's descent back into the 3rd World in the 70s. Your PM can keep playing his Burns Trisonic. I can't remember his name at the moment - hell, I'm American, why should I care? :-)

Blair plays a Burns? Very cool. Canada has a heavy hitter in the majority party (Don Boudria of the Liberals, for those interested) who seems to have a penchant for vintage gear too. I've seem him photographed playing (not merely posing) a vintage Fender Jaguar, and one of the early Les Paul SG's with the lateral (as opposed to up down) tremolo arms. Now, if it turned out that Dubya had a funky Alamo amp, Allied fuzzbox, and a Teisco Spectrum in the garage, I might change my preference for Prez.

I don't know what he plays, it was just a joke. You would think Tennessee made a guitar, but I can't think of any. Martin's in Pennsylvania, right?
