OK, so it sounded fine at the practice place and at home through the practice amp.  
 
I think you need to have it first before the other effects. As a test, plug your guitar right into it and into the amp. Adjust the trims and then start adding effects after it.  
 
I think the other pedals (you didn't say which ones) are interacting with it.  
 
As Joe said, you can play around with the input cap.
