Today's "Oh, PLEASE" moment
Just noticed on Behringer's web site (www.behringer.de) that they have a new line of things that make guitar sounds louder (speakers in a box along with electronics). However, these are not amps! These are GUITAR WORKSTATIONS.

"The best of both worlds: our unique technology gives you true tube-amp character in a solid-state amp, responding to every nuance of your playing over the entire dynamic range."

Oh please.

Even better than "transtube" technology!

Oh please! What in the heck was I thinking? I'm gonna take that "shabby spring reverb" and all those worthless "external fx" which are extremely inconvienient to use straight to the rubbish heap and get myself one of those new-fangled guitar workstations. I guess I don't really need that tube head anymore either since this thing really "does it all" ;).

But it's been called "'incredibly powerful,' 'absolutely convincing,' 'super-sexy,' and simply 'a kick-ass combo.'"

By who? The manufacturer's mother? Oh please. Looks kind of cheesy to me.

Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

I prefer to reserve my opinion until I've actually HEARD a piece of equipment. Anyone willing to condemn or mock something they don't approve of, based on prejudice, is just as likely to praise something they DO approve of, also based on prejudice. This makes their opinion of *anything* pretty much valueless. Doesn't it?
