| Paul T. | Grill coth aging? I have some new silver sparkle grill cloth as used on BF Fender amps, and would like to know the best way to give it an aged tint [without waiting for 35 years!] Anybody have experience using a particular process for this effect? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Paul T. |

Coffee is supposed to work nicely.. |

Speed: And I was going to suggest smoking a lot of cigarettes... (Or are you being serious? Like soaking it in coffee, then rinsing it off and letting it dry before stretching it out on the baffle board?) Have a Merry Christmas! (I was going to add "and Many Happy Returns" but since you now are in the retail business of selling your custom transformers I think I better skip that...) Steve Ahola |

I'd take many happy returns over many *unhappy* returns.. (whatever that means..!) serious on the coffee though.. soak it, dry it, try it out. Great for that yelllow-y dingy mojo vibe. Haven't done it myself but I hear it's a very effective method. Have a happy (whatever!) y'all!! |

Of course for a really convincing job we need to figger out how to get the baffleboard and speaker patterns to show through the ageing like on on a REAL ol amp... |

UV light would probably handle that.. how many hours is anyone's guess. |

| SteveF | Yes, but for that authentic vintage look nothin' beats a dose of dog pee. Every amp I ever had.... you get the picture. sf |
