Speaker for BFPR - Opinions on RI Jensens? I need a speaker for a BF Princeton Reverb chassis. Since one of the original speakers was the Jensen C10R I thought I'd get a reissue unit to put in the cabinet. Anyone used these? Sound good? Would a Kendrick, Weber, or Mojo be a better choice? |

| John Stokes | Actually, I'd recommend the C10Q. |

The Re-Issue Jensen C10Qs seem to be scarce these days. I have no experience with them. I do have a pair of the Weber C10Qs in my Lux/Verb and I highly recommend them. The Weber people are user friendly as well. IMHO I would spend the extra bucks and go with the Weber C10Qs. Mark |

I rebuilt a guy's '64 BFPR recently and had to replace the blown speaker. I used a 10" '65 CTS C10N equivalent. Sounds exceptional! I'd go with a CTS if you can get one or a "Q" Jensen or Weber. I have a P10Q Weber in my '68 PR and it rocks! CW |

I agree with CW but I recommend the CTS alnico 10" speaker. I think it compresses more. Mine is installed in a 64 BFPR and it sounds amazing. M/J |

| John Stokes | The CTS alnico is a good speaker, but commanding premium price these days. The reissue Jensen C10Q is much cheaper. If money is no object, go for a vintage Jensen P10Q. Those are sweet. |

Money's always an object! Have you heard the C10Q in something similar to a BF era low power amp? In a perfect world, I will put a GOOD new speaker in there and keep my eyes peeled for a great vintage one at a decent price. (And then I will wake up...) |
