Deluxe Reverb Baffle Board and Back Panel Hi... Let me know DR Baffle panel thickness.. and what wood must I use? MDO? birch plywood? and Back Pannel too... thickness and what wood? thanks bye |

Nobody used MDO.. I don't think it was really even available back then unless you worked at a experimental sign factory. Must use?!? Think cheap! 1/2" to 5/8" thick common fir plywood is prety good for these amps. I hate particle board, but guess what... they used that cheap crap too. 1/4" to 5/16" for the back panels. Dont use anything hard like masonite. Bruce |

1) 1/2" Baltic Birch ply for a clean tone with solid, clear bass and mids and bell like highs. 2) 5/16" MDO for a more blurry and resonant bluesy tone - like a tweed Deluxe. 3) 1/2" fir ply for a warm tone about 1/2 between Baltic Birch and MDO. |
