De-oxit
I'm finding that more and more music stores are stocking it, I thing HOSA has it in their line of cables and connectors.

Good stuff, good luck.

I just happened to check and HOSA does sell a contact cleaner mfg'd by Caig, but the name De-Oxit is not printed on it anywhere (possibly one of the conditions of the licensing agreement?). At $16 a can retail I thought I better make sure that this is the stuff that everybody recommends...

Two highly respected audio engineers/technicians have told me not to use Cramolin. They both reported that after 6 months the switches it had been used on were irreversibly damaged. They both used it according to instructions. Whether or not there are problems only with particular types of contacts I do not know. I'd like more information on this, because it certainly seems to work well in the short term.

Steve,

I'll double check this week as I make my rounds. But I'm pretty sure they have the red label and also the blue lube in a HOSA blister pack.

I use De-Oxit myself, but seems like I've seen it in retail mail order catalogs for well under $12.00 a can.

$16.00 would scare me.

As a matter of fact the last time I bought any, it was on sale for $7.95 and I got 6 cans of it.

The only "twist" was it had to be sent via ground(truck) because of FAA rules and regs.

You know I never pay retail... Heck, stores are lucky if I pay them at all! < g >

OK! That's the way to be...

Check Parts Express.... $6.95 for a small can,
