I believe BBS stands for Bulletin Board Service. Before the Internet, you would connect to BBS's directly by MODEM. Usually, the numbers were even long distance. John Kos |

I always thought it was Bulletin Soard System, but I guess Service works just as well. Years ago I ran a dialup BBS with a Commodore 64 and a 300 baud modem. --tboy |

All this talk of BBS's and Commodore 64's is dating us gentlemen. One of the new guys in my shop didn't know what an 8-track tape was..... regards, David |
