Ryan Lussier THin sheets of maple
I was just wondering if anyone knows where I could get 1/8" and 1/16" sheets of maple. I was thinking maybe model suppliers or maybe woodworking suppliers but I couldn't get any relevant hits with the search engines. Everyplace around here has thicker board and I don't have a planer. THanks!

Ryan: You need thin sheets of maple for what, exactly? Are you veneering the outside of a cabinet, or is it for baffle boards? You could try looking up "veneer" n the search engine. Veneer manufacturers can point you in the right direction for application and adhesives, but you could stick the stuff on the outside of your cabinet and it's a lot easier to work with than an actual board...

Try Home Depot. Last time I went on a furniture making trip, they had thin sheets of oak, maple, and pine in small sizes (and large prices. :) ) You don't need the 'net to buy everything!

Yes, I was going to suggest this. In some Home Depots, they have these materials (woods) in a roll of veneer.

Ryan, Antique radio restorers use this stuff quite often. Here is a page of links that might be useful. Mark
