How to article at GEO - Buffering a Wah input I've just updated GEO with an illustrated how-to article on adding a buffer to the input of a typical Crybaby wah board. It shows how to paste in a JFET and three resistors to stop tone sucking without using a new stomp switch and with minimal disturbance to the basic board. You can get the JFET and resistors almost anywhere for under $1. http://www.eden.com/~keen/ |

Re: How to article at GEO - Buffering a Wah input Thanks for the info. Is it possible to also get a schematic of just the addition and where it gets inserted. Thanks, CJ Landry |

Sure. It's pretty simple though - just an n-channel JFET, gate to ground with a 1M, source to ground with a 10K, drain to +9. The signal is tapped by pulling up the incoming end of the input 68K resistor, tying the pad to the JFET gate, and tying the source of the JFET to the pulled-up end of the 68K resistor. |
