Re: LDR emulation (R.G.) OK now i understand ....i hooked it up like you said... now the pedal *almost* works...when i plug it in it makes a *very* loud repeating sound depending on the light in the room...high sound w/ lots of ligt , low sound w/ little or no....so i guess the photocells are working ok....any help? Thanx |

Now shield the photocells from room light and get them as closely coupled to the LED as you can manage. |

Re: LDR emulation That's what i did, the photocells and led are as close as possible and they are covered with black electrical tape... The only result from this is a normal clean sound....no envelope filter ANY HELP? THANX |

does the LED light up at all? does it change brightness with the signal? what are min and max voltages across the LED's current limit resistor (and that resistor's value)? tell me again where to see the schematic |

No, i don't think the LED lights up (if it does it is VERY dimly) although it has in previous attempts at building this pedal.. I am unsure what u mean by : "..min and max voltages across the LED's ccurrent limit resistor (and the resistor's value)" http://www.ee.ualberta.ca/~charro/cookbook/audio/guitar/dodenvf.gif>Dod Envelope filter 440 |
