John K.	Vox AC30 - schematic - push pull or single ended I'm looking for a schematic for the Vox AC30. I figured I'd try to start studying this one since it's one of my favorites. Is it push pull or single ended? Are parts available (reasonable substitutes) or is this an impossible DIY? I thought that since this is an old classic, it would be a good place to start. Any other suggestions?

There's a schematic for the AC30 here at Ampage in the schematics section. Pittman's and Weber's books also have schematics. Hoffman's site has a simplified layout for the AC30. Here's the link:         http://www.hoffmanamps.com         It's push pull. Parts (reasonable substitutes) are available, but in it's full blown version it is not an easy first time DIY. I suggest the simplified version (like the one on the Hoffman site) or perhaps an AC15 with a Top Boost preamp. Another good option is the November Lite on the AX84 site.     Good luck,     Carlo
