Re: Schematic Drawing program Steve; You want to stay away from bmp files like the plague. They way I've been doing it for some time now is very similar to what Joe Piazza has been doing. Here's how I do mine. 1. You make a template of all your components; caps, resistors, etc., and save that as a monochrome bitmap. That results in a file that's about 40 k. 2. Create a new bmp file and save it as a monochrome bitmap. This will be the actual schematic that you're tyring to draw. 3. Next you do a copy/paste of the components from the template to the schematic and place your components where you want them until you finish your drawing. 4. Last you use paintshop or Lview( my favorite) and convert it to a gif image. The resulting file will typically be under 30k and the resolution is fantastic.
