Schematic drawing software
Anyone knows any good simple schematic drawing software?
I want a very basic program, with symbols for tubes, caps, resistors etc., and ability to specify component values.
Export/save to GIF and/or JPEG would be great.

I think I'm the only one here that uses it, but I use regular old PowerPoint. Mainly because it is already on my machine at work and home and since I use it so much at work I'm pretty familiar with it. You have to make your own symbols, but once you do it is not that bad. You can export to both GIF and JPEG.

I think a lot of the folks here use Mayura Draw. You can go here for a free copy:

there was someone on here a week or so ago that had Circuit Maker 6.0 on his site to download. IT's a really decent program and easy to use too.

Try circad 98 at www.holophase.com Itīs very easy to use and you can do both layouts and schematics. you can plotter the image to bmp and then convert it to gif, jpg etc with your graphic program like photo shop or paint shop. I like Circad very much īcause itīs so easy and fast to use.

These programs look good and can't wait to try them out.
I use Turbo Cad which is one that Steve Ahola told me about. There is a demo version that is really good and I couldn't believe it was just a demo becase it was so compleat. "Turbocad 2D"
