link in a old thread (carving a les paul top) i found a link in a thread to a site that showed pictures and a description of how the top of a lp was being routed and then carved but forgot to bookmark it, and one know what thread it was in or the address thanks R.L |

I saw that too. I think it was by Paul Sarabia, but I'm not sure. I'm starting a site to share some of my guitar construction experiences. The site is crude and only half-baked but you might find some useful info there. I also found some great ideas in Bob Benedetto's book on arch top construction. He drills a series of holes into the top to mark the depth as he carves. Neat idea, hard to describe. http://www.homestead.com/gambon/home.html |
